A Setback for Raymer

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer

There were 775 chips in the pot and the {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop was out when we got to the table. The player in the big blind bet 500 and Greg Raymer called from the cutoff.

The {2-Spades} fell on the turn and the big blind bet 1,000. Raymer called.

The {9-Clubs} hit the river and the big blind bet again, 2,000 this time. Raymer called and the big blind tabled {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

"Good catch," Raymer said as he tossed his cards into the muck. "A spade would have hurt. I had the ace of spades."

Puccio Grabs Bounty

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

There was a short stack all in from early position for around 1,000 and the button opponent moved all in for over 10,000. Vincent Puccio woke up in the big blind with a hand and made the call to put himself all in, then all three players turned over their hands.

Vincent Puccio: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Button Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Initial Raiser: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Puccio's ace-high with a king-kicker took down the pot and secured him a bounty.

Hench Loses Some

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

The player under the gun jammed for 1,975 and action folded around to the small blind. He didn't see the shove and threw in 50 on top of the T100 chip that he'd posted. The dealer called tournament staff to the table and it was ruled that the small blind was obligated to leave the 150 total chips in the pot but was not bound to a call. He folded, but Zachary Hench then called from the big blind.

Zachary Hench: {K-Spades}{9-Spades}
Opponent: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The players were racing for the pot and Hench needed to improve to win. The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds} which paired Hench's nine, but gave his opponent a set for the double-up.

Aldridge Starting to Collect Bounties Early

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante
Ken Aldridge
Ken Aldridge

Ken Aldridge had all his chips in the middle on a board that read {2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Justin Quincannon was also all in, but for a smaller amount than Aldridge.

Aldridge had {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} tabled for a pair of aces and Quincannon was showing {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a pair of jacks with a busted flush draw. Aldridge took down the pot and acquired his first bounty of the day.
