Hench Sends One Home

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The complete board of {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} was already out and there was a pile of chips in the middle when we got to the table. Zachary Hench had {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} face-up in front of him and his lone opponent was showing {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. The two players had gotten stacks in and the pot belonged to Hench with top pair, top kicker.

After the dealer verified the stacks and determined that Hench covered, he took the chips and his opponent made his exit.

Bach Gets a Fold

Level 19 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
David Bach
David Bach

Action folded to David Bach on the button and he raised to 3,300. The player in the big blind called.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked.

There was a bet and a call on the {3-Spades} turn and the big blind checked to Bach on the {9-Spades} river. Bach bet what looked like 2,800, the big blind folded after some thought, and Bach took the chips.

Sebastian Pauli

The player under the gun raised to 4,500 and Sebastian Pauli three-bet to 11,500 from the button. After some consideration, the original raiser called.

Both players checked all the way down the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board. Pauli showed {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, which was good enough to win the pot and put his stack into six-figure territory

Bohlman Loses Some

Level 20 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Scott Bohlman raised to 4,500 from the cutoff and the button three-bet to commit the vast majority of his chips. After some consideration, Bohlman four-bet and the button called to put himself at risk.

Scott Bohlman: {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Button: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The two players were racing for the pot and Bohlman needed to improve in order to stack his opponent. The flop came {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades} to give the button a commanding lead with a set.

"Oh, that's a good one!" exclaimed Bohlman. "Heart!"

The {Q-Spades} fell on the turn.

"Queen!" Bohlman continued.

The river brought the {5-Diamonds} and Bohlman's opponent took the pot with fours full to double up.
