Bryce Yockey Wins Nice Pot with Pair of Eights

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Soner Osman: {X-}{X-} / {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} - fold
Richard Sklar: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs} / {X-}
Bryce Yockey: {X-}{X-} / {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts} / {X-}

A trio of players got three bets in on third and Richard Sklar checked on fourth. Bryce Yockey bet 8,000, Soner Osman called, and so did Sklar.

Two checks on fifth saw Yockey bet 16,000 and once again both his opponents called.

Osman, who had 16,000 remaining, then checked sixth and Sklar bet 16,000. Yockey called and Osman folded.

Both Sklar and Yockey then checked seventh. The former showed {7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs} for a pair of sevens and Yockey barely had it beat with his {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a pair of eights.

"Ace High is Good"

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Jack Duong: {X-}{X-} / {4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades} - fold
Richard Sklar: {X-}{X-} / {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{K-Hearts} / {X-}
Jerry Wong: {X-}{X-} / {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{K-Clubs} / {X-}

Jack Duong brought it in and Jerry Wong completed. Richard Sklar called and then both he and Wong called when Duong made it two bets.

Wong led out for 8,000 on fourth and both his opponents called. On fifth, Won bet 16,000, Sklar called, and Duong got out of the way.

Both players then checked both sixth and seventh streets.

"Ace high is good," Sklar said and flashed the {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for king high. Wong then tabled the {5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} to win the pot.

Wong Denting Negreanu

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu: {X-}{X-} / {J-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} / {X-}
Jerry Wong: {X-}{X-} / {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} / {X-}

Picking up the action on fourth street, Daniel Negreanu check-called a bet from Jerry Wong.

Negreanu led on fifth street, Wong called and both checked on sixth street. Negreanu checked in the dark on seventh, Wong bet, and Negreanu called after a few moments.

Wong showed {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for trip sevens, besting Negreanu's {J-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} for jacks up to win the pot.

The following hand, Wong took more chips from Negreanu when he made a wheel against Negreanu's aces and sevens.

Daniel Negreanu Doubles on the Bubble

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Chris Klodnicki: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} / {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} / {9-Hearts}
Daniel Negreanu: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} / {3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} / {J-Hearts}
Jack Duong: {X-}{X-} / {2-Spades}{10-Spades} fold

Jack Duong brought it in and the short-stacked Daniel Negreanu completed. Chris Klodnicki called and so did Duong. On fourth, Negreanu bet, Klodnicki called, and Duong got out of the way.

Negreanu paired threes on fifth and bet his last 12,000, which Klodnicki called. Negreanu had two pair but it was smaller than Klodnicki's sevens and deuces. Fortunately for "Kid Poker" he made queens up on sixth. Seventh failed to help Klodnicki and he watched the pot pushed across the table to Negreanu.
