Testoni Spikes the River to Double Through Pannucci

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Zachary Hirst opened the action to 7,000 from late position and Juan Testoni called from the hijack. The small blind called and John Pannucci called from the big blind. They went four-handed to the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop and it checked to Hirst who bet 10,000.

Testoni moved all in for his last 36,200 and it folded back to Pannucci who reshoved all in for about 195,000. Hirst quickly folded and the hands were shown.

Juan Testoni: {10-Spades}{7-Spades}
John Pannucci: {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The dealer burned and turned the {4-Spades} and Testoni would need one of three remaining sevens left in the deck on the river to survive. The {7-Diamonds} completed the board and and Testoni rocketed out of his chair in celebration as he spiked his three-outer to double up and stay alive.

Margolin Applies Pressure

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Timur Margolin
Timur Margolin

Two players were on the turn, Timur Margolin and Raphael Poujade. The board read {6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Margolin checked to Poujade, who bet 25,000 into a roughly 75,000 pot. Margolin called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Margolin checked again. Poujade made it 45,000 to get to showdown and had 155,000 behind. Margolin took a couple of minutes before he decided to set Poujade all-in. It looked like a difficult decision for Poujade who tanked for a minute or so before reluctantly making a fold.

Hallaert Doubles Through Clinkscales

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Kenny Hallaert
Kenny Hallaert

Rex Clinkscales limped in from the small blind and Kenny Hallaert checked from the big. They went heads-up to the {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop and Clinkscales checked.

Hallaert bet 4,000 and Clinkscales called. The turn was the {k-Clubs} and Clinkscales checked to Hallaert who bet 15,000. Clinkscales check-raised all in and Hallaert nearly beat him into the pot for his last 68,000 turning over {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}.

Clinkscales was drawing dead holding {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and the meaningless {8-Clubs} completed the board to earn Hallaert the double-up.

Hoke and Dubini Get It In

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Richard Dubini
Richard Dubini

It was all in preflop between Richard Dubini and Israel Hoke, and though Hoke was the shorter stack, there was little difference and Dubini would be in some trouble if he lost the hand.

Richard Dubini: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Israel Hoke: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

It was a {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop and Hoke needed an eight to win or running straight cards for a chop. The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and it was only an eight for Hoke at this point. The {a-Hearts} river filled up Dubini and sent Hoke to the rail.
