Bierman Takes From Tan in Back-to-Back Pots

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On a {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop Stephen Bierman check-called a bet of 30,000 from Longsheng Tan. The pair checked the {9-Hearts} turn and the river was the {7-Clubs}. Bierman bet 75,000 and Tan quickly called. Bierman showed {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a flush and took down the pot.

In the very next hand Bierman appeared to raise in the small blind, but it was ruled a limp. Tan raised to 35,000 and Bierman called.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and both players checked. Bierman bet 75,000 on the {k-Clubs} turn and Tan called. Bierman bet 75,000 again on the {q-Spades} river and Tan quickly called again.

Bierman showed {j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a striaght and Tan mucked {k-}{10-} for two pair.

Laskey Pumps Up the Price on the River

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Adam Laskey kicked things off with an open on the cutoff and Shyam Srinivasan was the only caller, defending his big blind.

On the {3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop, Srinivasan check-called the 45,000 continuation. The {q-Clubs} turn saw a check apiece and the dealer put out a {5-Diamonds} to complete the board.

Srinivasan led for 80,000 and Laskey pumped it up to 225,000. It was enough to convince Srinivasan to fold and Laskey collected the pot.

A Fifth of the Chips for Kovoorchathoth

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Jayaram Kovoorchathoth
Jayaram Kovoorchathoth

Jayaram Kovoorchathoth just won a decent pot against John Pannucci and it gives him around 20 percent of the chips in play.

Kovoorchathoth opened to 35,000 and Pannucci three-bet to 85,000. After Kovoorchathoth called, the dealer laid out {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} on the flop. Both players checked and they went to the turn.

It came {7-Diamonds} and Kovoorchathoth checked to Pannucci, who set the price at 85,000. Kovoorchathoth called and the final card out was the {k-Diamonds}, bringing a one-card flush possibility. Kovoorchathoth checked once more and Pannucci bet 110,000. After a brief spell in the tank, Kovoorchathoth made the call.

Pannucci turned over {a-Spades}{4-Spades} but his pair wasn't good enough to beat a pair of kings with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and Kovoorchathoth has moved a long way ahead of the pack.
