Paradis Doubles Through Tan

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Longsheng Tan opened the action to 50,000 on the button and Jason Paradis decided the time was right to get the remainder of his chips in and Tan called the difference. When they turned over their cards, it was a flip as they headed into the flop.

Jason Paradis: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Longsheng Tan: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Just like the hand a few minutes ago on the other table, the {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} board favored the pair and it was a much-needed double for Paradis.

Bierman and Tan Resume Their Battle

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Stephen Bierman and Longsheng Tan have had history over the course of the tournament and in this hand Tan check-called a bet of 100,000 on the {k-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds} turn. Tan then bet 175,000 on the {7-Spades} river and Bierman called.

Tan showed {8-Spades}{9-Spades} for a rivered flush and took down the pot.

One Round Penalties for Bierman and Brabham

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Trey Brabham
Trey Brabham

Earlier in the day, Trey Brabham celebrated loudly after doubling through Nathan Nguyen. This roused the ire of tablemate Stephen Bierman and a short while ago the two got into a slinging match across the table.

The floor intervened and, after waiting for the hand involving Brabham and another player to finish, he sent both Bierman and Brabham on one round penalties.

Jayaram Kovoorchathoth raised 50,000 from the button and John Pannucci three-bet his small blind to 160,000. After a moment deliberating, Heng Zhang cold four-bet all in and Kovoorchathoth quickly moved aside, whilst Pannucci couldn't get it in fast enough.

John Pannucci: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Heng Zhang: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

It was battle of the big pairs but Pannucci had the best of it. After a tough couple of levels that have seen his stack dwindle, Pannucci held on the {8-Spades}{a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} board and is back in good shape.

A Good Runout for Pannucci

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

John Pannucci started the ball rolling with a 40,000 open on the button and Adam Laskey peeled from the small blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and it went check-check. There was a {5-Hearts} on the turn and Laskey bet 50,000, which Pannucci matched.

The river was the {10-Hearts} and Laskey barreled for 110,000. Pannucci wasn't done yet though, upping it to 310,000. Laskey called but mucked when he saw Pannucci had hit a flush with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.
