Hicks Sends Timoshenko Home

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Eric Hicks
Eric Hicks

With 8,800 chips in the pot and the board reading {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Eric Hicks checked from the big blind and Yevgeniy Timoshenko bet the pot from under the gun. Hicks check-raised all in, putting Timoshenko to a decision for his stack.

"Gotta put the pressure on, my friend. I've got a plane to catch," said Hicks as he moved his chips forward.

"I've got a plane to catch too," Timoshenko replied with a smile. "Well, this was my plan."

Timoshenko called to put himself at risk and the two players tabled their hands.

Eric Hicks: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Yevgeniy Timoshenko: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Timoshenko had the best of it with his aces but Hicks had numerous ways to catch up. The {7-Clubs} on the turn gave Hicks a lock on the pot with a flush and he took the chips to eliminate Timoshenko after the {3-Spades} fell on the river.

Rast Blasts Three Barrels

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Brian Rast raised to 4,000 in the hijack and he received a call from Abraham Reinhardt in the cutoff. Rast fired three shells on the {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades} board. Reinhardt called 5,000 on the flop and 11,000 on the turn but the 37,500-bet on the river was too much for him. He spent over a minute contemplating his decision and then gave up.

Stout Stacks Serda

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Matt Stout had already committed 15,500 chips to the pot when we got to the small blind and was facing a decision for a total of 51,000 from Patrick Serda, who was in the big blind. Stout called.

The flop came {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Stout bet the pot. Serda quickly called to put himself at risk and the two players tabled their hands.

Matt Stout: {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Patrick Serda: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

Stout was ahead with two pair and Serda needed to improve to survive. The {2-Diamonds} turn and {A-Diamonds} river further improved Stout to a flush and he took the pot to send Serda to the rail.

Solomon Approaches 300K Mark

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Jarred Solomon was in the small blind, leading 23,000 on the {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{A-Diamonds} turn in a heads-up pot against his right-hand opponent Gionni Demers after they'd put in 4,000 apiece on the flop.

Demers called and both players checked the {K-Hearts} river. Solomon showed {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} and scooped the pot as Demers mucked. With his latest addition, Solomon climbed near the 300,000 mark.

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

With 37,000 in the middle preflop, cutoff Daniel Laidlaw checked when the {9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} flop emerged. Christopher Frank fired the maximum in position, leaving himself with just 10,000 or so. Laidlaw gave it a brief thought and then laid his hand down.

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

There were about 20,000 chips in the pot and the board read {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades} when we got to the table. Alex Rocha checked from the big blind, Ryan Bambrick checked from the cutoff, and Pallas Aidinian checked back on the button.

The {2-Spades} fell on the river and Rocha lead out for 14,000. Bambrick shoved for about 40,000, Aidinian quickly folded, Rocha did the same, and Bambrick took the pot.

Jattin Gets Paid

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

On the river of the {2-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{2-Spades} board, William Migely checked to Farid Jattin who paused for a while and then cut out a large bet of 47,700, almost matching the size of the pot. Migely called and Jattin showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} for nut full house. Migely flashed {J-}{2-} for an inferior full house and then shipped the required chunk of chips Jattin's way.
