Kozlov Undersets Andrew

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Martin Kozlov
Martin Kozlov

With 31,000 in the middle and the board reading {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Martin Kozlov checked from the big blind and Tim Andrew bet 17,000 from the cutoff. Kozlov check-raised the pot to 82,000. After some consideration, Andrew called.

The {7-Hearts} hit the river and both players checked. Andrew tabled {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} for bottom set with a turned second-nut flush draw only to see Kozlov flip over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} to take the pot with a set of nines.

"I was praying for a deuce on the river, actually," said Kozlov as he stacked his newly acquired chips.

Blain Busts Midena

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Dermot Blain was in the small blind, leading out what looked like a pot-sized bet of 48,000 on the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop. Tom Midena called in the cutoff and he called his remaining 70,000 or so when Blain shoved on the {7-Spades} turn.

Blain: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Midena: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Midena bricked his outs. Blain had him slightly covered and Midena's tournament was over.

Lenaghan Stacks Cousineau

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Tony Cousineau got the last of his short stack in against Ryan Lenaghan on a {Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop.

Tony Cousineau: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}
Ryan Lenaghan: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Lenaghan had the edge with the better queen and better flush draw and Cousineau needed help from the deck to survive. The {3-Clubs} turn and {3-Hearts} river meant Lenaghan would take the pot to end Cousineau's tournament.

Wall Flushes Lindop

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Grant Wall opened to 13,000 from early position and Alex Lindop raised to 45,000 in the small blind. Wall looked at Lindop's stack and observed that he had just 5,000 behind. Then he threw in chips to cover his all in and Lindop raced for his tournament life.

Lindrop had a better starting hand with {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades} against {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} but Wall hit a bingo flop on {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. The rest of the board ran out {4-Diamonds} and {2-Spades} and those were the last cards Lindop would see in this tournament.
