Aces For Pauli

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Sebastian Pauli
Sebastian Pauli

Sebastian Pauli raised to 350 from under the gun and was called by the player in the big blind. Both players checked the {5-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, then both again checked after the {q-Clubs} turn.

The river {3-Clubs} completed the board, and action was once again checked to Pauli. This time the German decided to bet, and that was enough to make his opponent quickly fold. Pauli revealed his {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for a full house and collected the pot.

Pauli will be looking to match his deep run in this event last year when he took 70th place for $10,687.

The field size has grown to 2,632 as Level 4 gets underway. At the end of this level, players will go on their first 20-minute break which will signal the halfway mark for Day 1e late registration.

Laplante Folds the River

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

There was a raise to 400 from a player in early position followed by a call from the cutoff before Ryan Laplante called on the button. The big bling also came along, and the four players saw a {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades} flop. The action was checked to Laplante, and he bet 1,300. Both the big blind and early position raiser called before the cutoff folded.

All three players checked on the {a-Diamonds} turn before the initial preflop raiser bet 2,625 after the {q-Diamonds} river appeared. Laplante quickly folded to leave the player in the big blind facing a decision, and after some thinking time, he reluctantly let his hand go into the muck.
