Cooler Ends Saliba's Night

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante

Hold'em

Unfortunately for Vivian Saliba, a cruel cooler has ended her night late on Day 1. Saliba picked up queens in the small blind and got her chips in the middle. Sadly, Charalampos Lappas had woken up with pocket aces on the button and no help came on a jack-high board sending Saliba to the rail.

PLO

Donning his 2018 Event #30 WSOP gold bracelet, Ryan Bambrick is also donning a new stack after a recent pot where he nearly doubled up by eliminating an opponent.

With about 15,000 in the middle, the player in the big blind bet pot on the flop of a {3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board. Bambrick moved all in for about 26,000 and his opponent called off for the remainder, having about 25,500.

Ryan Bambrick: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Bambrick made a straight to send his opponent to the rail.

The player in the big blind led with a bet of 3,000 and Saliba called to see the [{j-Diamonds} land on the river. Saliba would fold when her opponent fired 8,000.
