Todd Ivens Eliminated in 8th Place ($74,162)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Todd Ivens
Todd Ivens

Bin Duan had 250,000 in front of him and Todd Ivens moved all in for 960,000. Duan called and had exactly the same stack in the middle so both players were at risk of being eliminated.

Duan had the lead with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Ivens was trailing with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}, but he did have immediate outs.

None of Ivens outs came on the {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board and he was eliminated in eighth place, just missing out on the unofficial final table.

Volpe Gets Value on the River

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Paul Volpe raised to 110,000 from the under-the-gun position and Todd Ivens defended his big blind.

The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and Ivens checked to Volpe. The three-time bracelet winner continued with a bet of 115,000 and Ivens called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and both players checked.

The river was the {Q-Hearts} and Ivens checked to Volpe again and he put out a big bet of 520,000. Ivens paid it off but he mucked his hand when Volpe showed {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

Ivens Doubles Up

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

This time it was Todd Ivens his turn to double up again. He doubled through John Andress and is now back to 1.8 million while Andress is down to around the million chips.

Ivens had {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and the board ran out {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and won the hand.

Andress Climbing Back Up

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Todd Ivens raised from the under-the-gun position to 110,000 and John Andress three-bet all in for a little less than a million chips. Ivens called and they opened up their cards.

Ivens was in a pretty good spot holding {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} against Andress' {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, but the flop wasn't in Ivens' favor.

The dealer opened up {4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades} to give Andress the double-up, climbing back up from three big blinds to almost 40 right now.

Zamani Takes From Deeb

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Martin Zamani raised from the button and Shaun Deeb defended his big blind. Both players checked on the {7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop before Deeb bet 135,000 on the {q-Spades} turn. Zamani called, and when the river came the {3-Hearts}, Deeb bet around 450,000 and Zamani snap-called.

Martin Zamani: {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Shaun Deeb: {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Both players had two pair, but Zamani had it better and took the pot.
