Emmett Takes Some Back

Level 3 : 150/300, 300 ante
Randall Emmett
Randall Emmett

Randall Emmett's table is by far the loudest in the room, just like his entree was during the Main Event a week ago. Emmett seems to be having the time of his life on "the easiest table in the room".

Emmett is seated with the likes of Dominik Nitsche, Alex Foxen, Jonathan Little and Max Silver and is enjoying every single moment of it, so it seems.

Alex Foxen raised to 1,200 from the cutoff and when it folded around to Emmett in the big blind he called. When Emmett checked on the {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board Foxen threw out a bet of 1,100.

"Stop, please, stop!"

Emmett threw in enough to call the bet and the {4-Clubs} turn came down and both players slowed down and checked.

"See. That's what I thought!"

They also checked on the {7-Spades} river. Emmett showed {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and that was more than enough to take down the pot.

Deeb Puts Kornuth All In

Level 3 : 150/300, 300 ante

The board was down {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, and Shaun Deeb had check-raised a 16,800 bet from Chance Kornuth on the river. The raise was enough to put Kornuth all in, and he was unsure over his decision.

"This is silly", Kornuth said jokingly.

Kornuth reluctantly folded and showed Deeb his hand which was {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a set.

"You can see one," Deeb joked, before he turned over {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush.

Emmett Wins at Showdown

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Joe Stapleton - Randall Emmett
Joe Stapleton - Randall Emmett

Randall Emmett enjoyed some laughs with his new tablemates after he found himself surrounded by several professionals including Alex Foxen, Dominik Nitsche, Max Silver and Jonathan Little.

The American film and television producer joked about how he saw his changes against some of the best players in the world, but just took down a pot against Max Silver.

Emmett and Silver were heads-up on an {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop, and Silver checked to Emmett on the button, who also checked. Both players checked again on the {2-Clubs} turn and for the third time after the {3-Clubs} river came.

Emmett revealed he had {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a pair and Silver conceded the pot.

Great Start for Deeb

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

The board was already reading {9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and Shaun Deeb was facing a 2,700 bet in the cutoff after big blind Chance Kornuth put in the middle. Deeb called and both players saw the river.

The {10-Spades} river completed the board and Kornuth bet 20,000. Deeb called the 100 big blind bet and saw Kornuth table {A-Spades}{7-Clubs}. After he took a good look he opened up {J-Spades}{9-Spades} himself for a straight and the winning hand.

Deeb could launch himself in the top spot of the Player of the Year race again by cashing in this event, even though it's gonna be really exciting.
