Maimone Eliminates Kaverman

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

The action folded around to Nick Maimone on the button, and he raised before Byron Kaverman moved all in from the small blind for 59,000. When the action was back on Maimone, he went into the tank and needed several minutes to think before the clock was called on him by Sam Greenwood.

When the tournament director arrived at the table and informed Maimone, he had 25 seconds left to act he instantly made the call.

Nick Maimone: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Byron Kaverman: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Board: {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Maimone made the correct call, and his queen kicker held to eliminate Kaverman shortly before the first break of Day 2.

Loni Harwood raised from the hijack to 6,000 and Erik Seidel called from the cutoff. Oliver Price was sitting on the button with only 35,500 and he decided to move all in. Harwoord folded her hand, but Seidel ended up calling.

Oliver Price: {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Erik Seidel: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Price could start stacking while Seidel is left with just over 20 big blinds.

Ace is Good for Koon

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jason Koon raised from the button to 7,500 and Daniel Negreanu three-bet to 26,500 from the small blind. Koon made the call, and they saw the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop. Both players checked, and the turn card was the {q-Spades}. Negreanu bet 17,000 and Koon called before the dealer put down the {j-Diamonds} river, and both players checked to showdown.

"Kings" declared Negreanu.

"I win" replied Koon, and tabled {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for two pair.
