Mizrachi Bursts the Bubble, Mandic Eliminated

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Michael Mizrachi

The board already read {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Goran Mandic had checked to Michael Mizrachi. Mizrachi had bet 45,000 and Mandic called to see the {Q-Spades} river card complete the board.

The pot had well over 100,000 in it and Mandic checked to Mizrachi and the latter moved all in for effectively 190,000.

"That's how you put the pressure on. You're calling 95% of the time? How much are you at now?"

Mandic responded with "98" and he thought about it some more.

"Let me know when it's 100%"

After the hand at the other table finished Mandic called and he saw that he was no good with {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} against the {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} of Mizrachi.

Mizrachi chips up nice on the bubble and Mandic is the last player walking away without any money.

Greenwood Folds on the Bubble

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With the board down {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Timothy Adams bet 70,000 from the cutoff after Sam Greenwood had checked to him from the small blind. Greenwood called, and they saw the {9-Diamonds} river card. Greenwood checked, and Adams bet 230,000.

Adams' bet left him with just 10,000, but more importantly, he had Greenwood covered. With just one other table still in action, Greenwood was put to the test.

The Canadian gave himself a couple of minutes to think before he folded. Adams was asked to show one card by another player at the table, and he turned over the {4-Hearts} which made both Adams and Greenwood smile.

Ace Beats Ace for Lewis

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Romain Lewis raised from the hijack, Jason Koon called on the button, and the flop came down {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Lewis bet 15,000 and Koon called which brought the turn card {10-Diamonds}. Lewis continued and bet 42,000, which again Koon called.

The river was the {k-Spades} and both players checked.

Romain Lewis: {a-}{k-}
Jason Koon: {a-}{q-}

Both players had two pair on the flop, but Lewis had the better kicker on the flop and even improved to a better two pair on the river.

Michael Gathy

Michael Addamo has been using the looming bubble to his advantage and has chipped up to be the biggest stack in the room.

He opened to 11,000 and Michael Gathy three-bet to 90,000 with only 35,000 behind. When Addamo shoved all in he was called by Gathy and they opened up.

Michael Addamo: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Michael Gathy: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Gathy doubled up two away from the money.
