Hands #11-15: Yu Opens Up a Lead

Level 61 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Hand #11: Keith Lehr raised to 25,000 on the button and Ben Yu countered with a three-bet to 80,000. Lehr called and the flop came {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Yu continued for 50,000 and Lehr called to see the {k-Diamonds} on the turn.

Yu tossed in another bet of 150,000 but Lehr still called. The {7-Diamonds} completed the board and Yu reached back for a bet of 350,000. Lehr finally let his hand go and Yu picked up the first significant pot of the day.

Hand #12: Yu made it 28,000 to go and Lehr quickly called. The flop came {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Lehr checked to Yu who continued for 30,000. Lehr check-raised to 90,000 and Yu called.

The {10-Hearts} landed on the turn and Lehr checked again. Yu fired out a bet of 75,000 and Lehr check-raised again to 280,000. The second check-raise proved to be enough to force Yu out of the hand.

Blinds were increased to 8,000/16,000

Hand #13: Lehr folded the button and Yu received a walk.

Hand #14: Yu made it 40,000 on the button and Lehr defended. The flop came {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Lehr check-called a bet of 25,000 from Yu. The turn brought the {q-Hearts} and Lehr checked again. Yu tossed in another bet of 80,000 and Lehr sent his cards to the muck.

Hand #15: Lehr raised to 38,000 and Yu made the call. On a flop of {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades}, Yu check-called a bet of 35,000 from Lehr. The turn was the {7-Spades} and both players checked to the {q-Spades} on the river. Two more checks and Yu tabled {a-Spades}{8-Clubs} for the nut flush to scoop the pot.
