Peters Makes Broadway to Double Up

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

David Peters shoved all in for 26,300 on the button and was met with a quick call from Jonathan Jaffe. Peters turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for two live cards against Jaffe's {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} to put Jaffe out front with a pair of aces. However, the {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave Peters a straight and the {3-Diamonds} on the river ensured him of a double up.

Loeser Bests Yaiche

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Down to his last 12,000, Basil Yaiche ended up at risk with the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Manig Loeser had the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop gave Loeser a gutshot and the {7-Diamonds} turn locked up the hand for the German, which made the {9-Clubs} river a formality. Loeser advanced to the round of 64 and has just a short break before the next match kicks off.

Ole Schemion

Anatoliy Duka limped in on the button and Ole Schemion shipped all in from the big blind. Duka quickly called off his stack of around 20,000 and the cards were tabled.

Ole Schemion: {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Anatoliy Duka: {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The flop fell {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Duka's ace-high was still in the lead. However, the {j-Hearts} on the turn paired Schemion and he held on through the {9-Hearts} river to eliminate Duka.

Another Double for Peters

Jonathan Jaffe limped in from the button and David Peters shipped all in for 45,300 in the big blind. Jaffe asked for a count and then made the call.

David Peters: {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Jonathan Jaffe: {k-Spades}{8-Spades}

Elias Takes the Lead

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

With near even stack sizes, Darren Elias kept pushing several times to build up a lead and won a showdown hand to pull away further.

Lachezar Petkov raised to 6,000 and Elias called, then check-called a bet on the {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop. The {2-Diamonds} turn and {9-Clubs} river were checked and Elias tabled {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for the winner.

Petkov Doubles then Eliminates Elias

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Darren Elias shipped all in on the button and Lachezar Petkov called from the big blind. Elias tabled {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} which was trailing Petkov's {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}. The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Petkov doubled up for 37,800 to take the lead.

A few hands later, Petkov raised to 6,000 on the button and Elias moved all in for around 45,000. Petkov quickly called and was in another dominating position. Petkov showed {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} against the {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} of Elias.

The flop of {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} brought some chop outs for Elias and the {7-Clubs} on the turn gave him a straight draw. The {j-Diamonds} on the river would miss everything and Petkov held on for the win.
