Day 3 Action

Ong Dingxiang came into Day 3 second in chips and never looked back. Dingxiang tallied up numerous eliminations throughout the day, but a big turning point for him was when he eliminated the Day 2 chip leader Romain Nussmann.

Dingxiang opened on the button with a raise to 190,000, Romain Nussmann called from the big blind. Dingxiang bet out 225,000 after a flop of {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Nussmann raised to 700,000. Dingxiang three-bet jammed and Nussmann called. Dingxiang had pocket queens {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Nussmann {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Nussmann had flopped top pair but couldn't catch up to the overpair of Dingxiang and Nussmann was eliminated in ninth place.

Baron was another player who got off to a really hot start after eliminating Hans Joachim Hein, Marc Robinson, Nicholas Dolen, Ryan Brown and Henry Lu. One of the big hands that catapulted Baron was when he called Lu's all in for 855,000. Baron was behind Lu's {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} holding {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} but the board would run out {k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Baron hit his straight to eliminate Lu.
