You Get Aces, You Get Aces

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Freek Scholten opened to 11,000 from under the gun and Anatoly Filatov defended from the big blind. The flop came {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and both players checked to the {10-Hearts} on the turn.

Filatov led out for 11,000 and Scholten raised to 29,000 which Filatov called. The river was the {a-Hearts} and Filatov shoved all in. Scholten called off his stack of 65,500 and Filatov tabled {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for just queen-high. Scholten showed {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} for a set of aces and got a double up.

In the next hand, Uri Reichenstein raised to 10,500 in the cutoff and Filatov three-bet to 30,000. Reichenstein four-bet shoved all in for just under 200,000 and Filatov snapped him off.

Reichenstein flipped over {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} but was up against the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} of Filatov. The flop came king-high to give Reichenstein a pair of kings but he found no further help and was eliminated.
