Snyder Calls Song to Shift Stacks

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

On a board that read {2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} Stephen Song led out with a bet of 105,000. He got a call from Steven Snyder.

The river was the {q-Clubs}. Song ruffled his chips for about twenty seconds and pushed forward a full stack of chips for a bet of 500,000. Snyder snap called by tossing in the one chip call and showed the best hand with the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to beat Song's {q-Spades}{8-Spades} and tilt the chip balance toward his end of the table.

Kelso Coolers Opponent, Sends To Showers

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

There was an all in preflop between Blake Kelso, who held {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and his opponent who was all in for his last 85,000 with {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. The flop came {j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} to give the all-in player a pair of threes, but the {8-Clubs} turn and {2-Clubs} river gave Kelso a backdoor flush and sent his opponent packing.

Hills Eliminates Chen and Another with Top Set

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

On a board that read {2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} a player was already all in and a side pot was being played out between Andy Hills and Pete Chen.

Chen put out a bet that was raised all in by Hills, after a few moments of thought Chen made the call.

Hills showed the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for top set while Chen showed {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} for top pair and a draw to broadway. The previously all in player said that he was drawing dead and began to walk away.

The river came the {2-Clubs} to secure the double elimination for Hills.

Turbo Run Good!

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Paawan Bansal opened the action with a raise to 55,000 from the cutoff. The player on the button folded and Phong 'Turbo' Nguyen announced he was all in. The player in the big blind folded and Bansal assessed the situation before sticking the remainder of his chips in the pot.

Paawan Bansal: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Phong 'Turbo' Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Turbo and Bansal found themselves in a classic coin flip situation and the race continued as the dealer turned over a flop of {6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, giving Turbo a flush draw to go with his two over cards. The {j-Clubs} turn added more drama, giving Turbo Broadway outs as well. The river was the {q-Spades} and Bansal was unable to fade the world as Turbo improved to Broadway and took down the pot.

"Good game!" said Nguyen. "You gotta win flips to win tournaments!"

With a smile on his face, Bansal agreed and wished Nguyen a nice hand and good luck.

Ace on the River Saves Kaneoya

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

In a pre-flop all in situation Renato Kaneoya's tournament life was at stake with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} up against {j-}{j-} of his opponent who barely had him covered.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Spades} to give Kaneoya some more outs. The turn was a useless {7-Spades}. But his tournament was saved when the dealer revealed the {a-Clubs} on the river to give him a huge double up.
