Yasheel Doddanavar Eliminated in 16th Place ($18,352)

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Yasheel Doddanavar
Yasheel Doddanavar

We didn't see the action, but it appeared Yasheel Doddanavar got his remaining chips in on {2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} with {7-}{5-} for a straight draw against the {a-}{8-} of Angel Guillen. The {j-Diamonds} river was a brick and Doddanavar hit the rail after a short-lived grind with crumbs.

Lucky Double for Martinez

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Thomas Cazayous bet 125,000 into about 300,000 out of the big blind on {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}. Raul Martinez, in the cutoff, shoved for 505,000 and Cazayous was in there with a snap-called holding {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for trips.

Martinez had the naked nut flush draw with {a-Spades}{9-Hearts} but pumped his fist when the dealer dropped a {9-Spades} onto the felt.

Guillen Wins a Flip

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jan Bednar raised to 45,000 from the cutoff, then snapped off a three-bet shove from Angel Guillen for 360,000 on the button.

Angel Guillen: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Jan Bednar: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Guillen survived the flip on a {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds} board to earn the double.

De Silva Racing Ahead

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Upeshka De Silva bet 135,000 into about 400,000 from the small blind and Wojtek Barzantny called from under the gun on {7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Spades}. Both players checked the {5-Diamonds} and the {6-Hearts} and De Silva's {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} took it down.

De Silva is now pushing toward 3 million when most other players are happy to be in seven figures.

Doddanavar Runs Out Well

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jan Bednar
Jan Bednar

Yasheel Doddanavar shoved in the small blind for 200,000 and Jan Bednar woke up to {a-Spades}{8-Clubs} and a quick call. Doddanavar had live ones with {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}, and while the {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop didn't help him, the running deuces that hit the board certainly did.

Glen Cressman Eliminated in 17th Place ($18,352)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Glen Cressman
Glen Cressman

Glen Cressman raised to 45,000 from the cutoff, then snapped off his last 430,000 when Demosthenes Kiriopoulos three-bet shoved for 455,000 from the small blind.

Glen Cressman: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Demosthenes Kiriopoulos: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Kiriopoulos found a pair on the {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, and Cressman would get no love from the {k-Clubs} turn or {j-Clubs} river to confirm his elimination.

Martinez Asks and Receives

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Cards were on their backs at Table 401 with Raul Martinez at risk showing {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} against the {k-}{q-} of Jonathan Proudfoot. The flop came nine-high with the {9-Spades} and Martinez locked up a double on the turn, worth 310,000.

"In my head, I was thinking, 'nine of spades, nine of spades,'" Martinez said with a smile.

Erwann Pecheux Eliminated in 18th Place ($18,352)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Erwann Pecheux
Erwann Pecheux

Upeshka De Silva checked a {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts} board from the big blind, and Erwann Pecheux bet 120,000 from under the gun. De Silva called.

De Silva checked the {k-Spades} river as well, and Pecheux thought for a minute before moving in for his last 280,000. De Silva snap-called and tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a rivered two pair, while Pecheux showed that his {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} had been cracked by the river.

Proudfoot Takes A Big Chunk From Martinez

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Raul Martinez checked a {2-Spades}{a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} board from the big blind, and Jonathan Proudfoot bet 60,000. Martinez called, and the two saw the {a-Hearts} fall on the river.

Martinez checked again, and Proudfoot bet 210,000. Martinez counted up his remaining stack, and after about a minute, called. Proudfoot tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, and Martinez mucked with a sigh.
