Top Pair Knocks Down Ho's Stack

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Maria Ho was on the small blind, facing a 7,000 river bet from a player on the button on a board of {4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}, and went into the tank. After a couple of minutes of consideration, Ho made the call, but mucked when her opponent showed {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Saout Folds to Lemarquand

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Erik Lemarquand raised to 1,300 from the hijack, and Antoine Saout called from the small blind along with the player in the big blind.

Players saw a flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} that was checked to Lemarquand who bet 2,000. Saout check-raised to 6,000, and the big blind folded.

Lemarquand took a few seconds of reflection before three-betting to 16,000, and Saout stuck around with a call.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs} and Saout checked. Lemarquand fired 18,000. Saout thought for a long while, but eventually folded.

Keating Thinks Better of Bluffing Akkari

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Andre Akkari bet 10,000 from the small blind into Sylvain Loosli and Alex Keating, on a flop of {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Both players called, and the turn came the {5-Diamonds}.

Akkari bet another 13,000 on the turn, and Loosli folded from the hijack. Keating called from the button, and the river came the {3-Clubs}. Akkari checked this time, and Keating thought it over for awhile before checking back.

Akkari showed {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the king-high flush. Keating told Akkari that he thought about bluffing on the river, but in this case it's probably a good thing he just checked back.
