Steven Wenrich raised under the gun and Jimmy Crouch called from middle position along with Kanajett Hathaitham on the button.

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Wenrich checked. Crouch moved all in for about 2,900,000. Hathaitham made the call and Wenrich folded.

Jimmy Crouch: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Kanajett Hathaitham: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The {6-Clubs} turn and {9-Hearts} river completed the board and Hathaitham raked in the pot with his quads, sending Crouch to the rail in 13th place.

Steven Wenrich Eliminated in 12th Place ($23,316)

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Steven Wenrich opened to 475,000 and Timothy Joseph three-bet all in for 1,015,000 from the small blind. Wenrich called.

Timothy Joseph: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Steven Wenrich: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Wenrich was looking for diamonds but an all black flop of {2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} and a {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} runout meant Joseph doubled up.

A short while later Wenrich got {8-}{8-} in against the {q-}{q-} of Cary Marshall to bust in 12th place.

Barry Shulman opened to 400,000 and Clifford Pappas three-bet all in for 1,330,000. Rick Austin cold four-bet all in for more and Shulman folded.

Clifford Pappas: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Rick Austin: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The flop was a safe one for Pappas coming {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} but the {a-Spades} turn had him drawing thin. The river was the {8-Hearts} and he was eliminated.

Pappas finished 30th in the Seniors Event this year for $18,508 and now adds an 11th place finish in the Super Seniors to his poker resume.

Blake Leads Final Ten in Super Seniors

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Michael Blake

The crowning of a winner in Event #39: $1,000 Super Seniors will have to wait to tomorrow as the tournament heads into an unscheduled fourth day of play. After a further ten levels were played, ten players still remain with a chance of winning the bracelet and $359,863 in prize money.

Leading the way is Michael Blake who eliminated five players of the last 17 players to bag 12,300,000 and is the only player with an eight-figure stack.

Behind him comes Kanajett Hathaitham (9,235,000) and Rick Austin (6,475,000) with Jeffrey Miller (5,525,000) and Cary Marshall (5,500,000) the only other players above average.

Still in contention is two-time bracelet winner Barry Shulman (2,665,000) although he sits as one of the short stacks and will be hoping for some run good when play resumes on Day 4 at 11 a.m.

Day 3 Recap

A field of 120 players started the day, and they were almost cut in half by the first break as a steady stream of players were eliminated. These included bracelet-winners "Captain" Tom Franklin (108th - $2,469), Steve Hohn (102 - $2,469), and Humberto Brenes (97th - $2,816), the latter of which got his final chips in with ace-queen only to be up against the ace-king of an opponent.

Michael Moore (76th - $3,781) and Larry Wright (64th - $4,449) soon followed. Marcia Godinez was cashing in her third Super Seniors in a row, and she was eliminated in 39th place for $7,697, shortly followed by Don Zewin in 38th for the same amount.

Allyn Shulman was sitting pretty with an around average stack, but a confrontation with Cary Marshall saw her aces cracked by kings after Marshall flopped a king.

Start-of-day chip leader Jay Hong was a late elimination on Day 2, running pocket tens into the aces of Bruce Treitman to bust in 16th for $14,544.

Blake leads the final ten into Day 4 action. They will play down to a winner on 20th June at 11 a.m. Stay tuned to PokerNews for continued coverage from the 50th annual World Series of Poker
