Wieland Busts Hamilton

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Brian Hamilton opened to 27,000 and it was called by Julien Sitbon on the button. Carson Wieland, in the big blind, potted for 114,000 and only Hamilton made the call.

The flop appeared {2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and after Wieland checked, Hamilton announced pot for 261,000. After some thinking, Wieland made the call and the few chips remaining went in the middle on the turn {5-Diamonds}.

Hamilton, holding {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}, was facing {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} in Wieland's hand, who claimed the pot after a {3-Diamonds} fell on the river, eliminating Hamilton from the tournament.

Wieland, who is playing his first ever WSOP event, has now reached a hefty stack of around one million in chips.

Mitchell Cracks Aces to Bust Zarin

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Jonathan Zarin got his last 91,000 in the middle with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} against the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} of William Mitchell. Mitchell had him well covered as the dealer started to deal the flop.

The flop came down {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Mike Matusow commented that it was an ''above average flop'' for Mitchell's hand. The {9-Hearts} turn and {6-Clubs} river couldn't save Zarin from elimination and he was sent to the rail as the table broke and the players were divided over new tables.

The board read {4-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} when Kinh Huynh checked from the blinds before calling a bet from Mark Radoja on the button.

Both players checked on the turn {10-Clubs} and river {a-Diamonds} and Huynh announced "nuts", showing {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for the straight and Radoja mucked his hand.

Tuit Grabs Chips from Noori

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Michael Noori opened to 30,000 under the gun and it folded Zeik Tuit in the big blind who called.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Tuit check-called for 25,000. Both players checked when a {10-Spades} and a {2-Spades} completed the board and Tuit turned over {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a set of sevens, which was enough to win the pot.
