Mark Liedtke started the action with a raise to 12,000 and it was called by Shahar Levi one seat over and Julien Sitbon in the blinds.

The three players checked throughout a board {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and a {10-Clubs} fell on the river. Sitbon led out for 21,000 and Liedtke chose to make the call while Levi folded. Sitbon tabled {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the flush and Liedtke mucked.

Peters Puts Pressure on Normand

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Frederic Normand raised to 12,500 from middle position and the only player that called was Dutchman Tobias Peters from the big blind.

The flop was dealt {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Normand continued with a bet of 12,000 after Peters had checked. Peters did call to see the {2-Spades} on the turn.

Peters checked again and Normand put 55,000 in the middle but he was corrected by the dealer who announced the bet as 51,500. Peters thought about it for a while before he put it all in the middle. Peters shoved his stack worth 148,500 in the middle and the action was back on Normand.

Normand thought about it for multiple minutes before Peters called the clock in him. They were only three eliminations away from the money at this point in the hand. Normand had thirty seconds to act and he folded with about four seconds left on the clock.

Hallaert Doubles on Matusow

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Mike Matusow opened to 11,500 and after some thoughts, Kenny Hallaert three-bet to 42,000. It folded back to Matusow who called.

Things heated on the flop {j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Matusow tossed a pile of 5,000 chips in front of him, putting Hallaert at risk for his last 22,500 and the latter snap-called.

Kenny Hallaert: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Mike Matusow: {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The rest of the board fell {j-Clubs} and {k-Spades} and Halalert's pair of aces held to give him the double up.

Boatman Bubbles

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Barny Boatman in a previous event
Barny Boatman in a previous event

Barny Boatman limped under the gun when they were on the money bubble and action folded to small blind Mike Matusow. Matusow raised to 24,000 and Boatman was up when Kenny Hallaert folded. Boatman ended up calling after he thought about it for a while.

The {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop was dealt and Matusow pushed all in. Boatman almost beat him into the pot. They had to wait until all other hands had completed before they continued.

Matusow then opened up {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and he had Boatman's {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} crushed.

The dealer dealt an {a-Spades} turn and the {5-Spades} river to end Boatman his tournament on the bubble. The other players are guaranteed to win at least $2,248.
