Lisandro Busts Matusow

Level 10 : 300/600, 600 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Draw

Ryan Hughes raised on the button and Mike Matusow three-bet shoved for 8,600 from the small blind. Jeff Lisandro woke up with a big hand in the big and he isolated, forcing a fold from Hughes.

Matusow broke his hand and drew two while Lisandro stood pat with {9-}{8-}{6-}{4-}{2-}.

Matusow opened {8-}{7-}{3-} and Lisandro observed that a nine was no good. Matusow peeled a {5-}, saying, "That's a good one!"

But then he squeezed the other card and immediately announced, "You got it," before showing a {j-}.

Ivey Eliminated by Shack-Harris

Level 10 : 300/600, 600 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Pot-Limit Omaha

Brandon Shack-Harris raised to 1,300 in the hijack and Phil Ivey potted for 4,700 in the cutoff. Shack-Harris called and he led out 3,200 on the {8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop. Ivey moved all in for about 8,000 more and Shack-Harris called.

Ivey: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Shack-Harris: {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Ivey was ahead but Shack-Harris had heaps of outs for a straight.

The {q-Spades} turn stayed with Ivey but Shack-Harris picked up a flush draw. He hit a nine-high straight on the {5-Hearts} and that was it for Ivey.

"Straight, right?" Ivey asked to make sure he saw it right. The dealer nodded.

"See ya," Ivey said and then rushed out of the tournament area.

Turner Scared to Death

Level 9 : 300/500, 500 ante

No-Limit 5-Card Draw

Alex Foxen raised to 1,500 under the gun and Jon Turner pumped the price to 7,500 out of the big blind. Foxen paused for a moment and then called.

Turner patted, Foxen drew one, and Turner checked. Foxen thought for a while and then tapped his forearm.

Turner rolled over {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a flush and Foxen mucked.

"I was scared to death if he bets," Turner admitted.

"I had a full house draw," Foxen said.

"I bet you did. I thought about going for it to get some value, but..." Turner finished.

Klein Doubles with Dealt Trips

Level 9 : 300/500, 500 ante

No-Limit 5-Card Draw

Loren Klein was all in for 13,700 from the cutoff, facing off against a player on his left. Klein took two and the other player drew one.

Both players had a great starting hand, but Klein was in better shape with {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} versus {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Neither of the players improved and Klein scored a double.

Belianin's Two Pair Prevails

Level 9 : 300/500, 500 ante

No-Limit 5-Card Draw

Georgii Belianin was all in for 6,700 from the cutoff and Shawn Buchanan called on his left. Belianin peeled one and Buchanan reluctantly released three cards.

Belianin: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Buchanan: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Buchanan peeled {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} one by one but he failed to improve and Belianin rolled over {a-Clubs} only to comply with the rules as he already knew he was taking it down.

Hughes Cracks Ohel's Aces

Level 9 : 300/500, 500 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

The hand picked up when the dealer was shipping a huge pot towards Ryan Hughes who doubled through Randy Ohel. Hughes held {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, hitting two pair on the {9-}{q-}{3-}{6-}{j-} board. Ohel held {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and he ended up scooped.

"Stupid flop," Ohel sighed as he was left with only 4,500 or so.

Deeb Bets Out Vieira

Level 9 : 300/500, 500 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

With {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Hearts} in the middle of the table, Shaun Deeb and Joao Vieira had bets of 1,500 and 2,300 lying in front of them from previous streets.

Deeb (big blind) priced the river at 7,000, and Vieira thought for a moment before folding on the button.

Deeb took two of his hole cards and said, "I'll show you some good ones." He exposed {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and chuckled.
