Day 2 of Event #44: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Bounty played host to a frenzied pace of eliminations, with players aggressively gunning for the $500 bounties. The field narrowed down from 272 to just 23 players at the end of Day 2, and those remaining will come back to the Rio on Friday and play down to a winner. The Day 3 restart commences at noon Friday, and one of these 23 grinders will take down the WSOP bracelet and first-place prize of $253,933.

The chips were evenly spread among the tournament chip leaders as the final four levels played out, and at the end of the day it was a pair of players finishing over the four-million chip mark to lead the pack. Damjan Radanov (4,625,000) and two-time WSOP bracelet winner Asi Moshe (4,530,000) are neck-and-neck heading into the Day 3 finale.

Several other players are right on his heels, including Timothy Stephens (3,220,000), Harrison Gimbel (2,985,000), Andrew Hills (2,580,000) and Patrick Truong (2,505,000).

Moshe is the only remaining bracelet winner in the field, as Day 2 saw a number of other former WSOP champions hit the rail. Phil Ivey, Benjamin Moon, Jack Duong, Loni Harwood, Michael Gathy and Justin Libeto all finished in the money, but out of the running for a return on Day 3. Moon lasted the longest out of this group, finishing 25th for $7,500.

Moshe hung around near the top of the chip leaderboard throughout the day and surged over the four-million mark in the final level. He picked up nearly 2 million chips in a wild three-way pot, with his pocket deuces improving to a full house on the river.

Moshe will be looking for career bracelet No. 3 when he comes back for Day 3. If Moshe doesn’t take it down, Event #44: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Bounty is guaranteed to crown a first-time bracelet winner.

Day 2 chip leader Radanov will be looking for his first bracelet, and if he wins the championship, the first-place payday will be the biggest of his career.

With so many sizeable stacks still in the field, it’s truly anybody’s bracelet to win when this event comes to its conclusion Friday. Follow along with the PokerNews live reporting team to see who gets it done!
