Liu First to Bust on Day 1

Sasha Liu dropped to 21,000 after two multi-way pots that were scooped by Chance Kornuth without showdown. First it was a raise to 1,800 by Abraham Faroni that was called three ways including Kornuth, Veselin Karakitukov and Liu, and after a checked flop of , a bet of Kornuth on the turn won the pot.

Then, Faroni opened to 1,200 and Kornuth came along from the button, as was Liu in the big blind. On the flop, Liu check-folded to a bet of 2,500 by Faroni and a call by Kornuth. Faroni also bet the turn for 4,000 and received the call before check-folding the river to a bet of 7,800.
