Petrangelo's Aces Cracked

Level 10 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo raised it up from early position and Cary Katz defended from the big blind. On the flop of {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, Katz check-called a bet from Petrangelo and the {j-Spades} landed on the turn.

Katz checked again and Petrangelo dropped in a bet of 60,000. Katz check-raised all in for 288,000 and Petrangelo felt like he was forced to call.

"This is so bad but I have to call," Petrangelo said. He splashed in the chips and turned over {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} only to see Katz's {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for two pair. The river brought the {10-Hearts} and Katz found a double up to leave Petrangelo on the short stack.
