Rechnitzer Chips Up

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Marco Johnson limped from under the gun and the player to his left followed suit. Action folded around to Gerard Rechnitzer in the small blind who completed. The big blind checked and the flop came {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Three players checked and the player to Johnson's left bet. Rechnitzer called and the other two players in the hand folded.

The turn was {9-Clubs} and both players checked. The river then came {4-Clubs} and Rechnitzer bet out. His opponent thought for close to a full minute, looking back at his cards a couple of times before tossing his cards into the muck.

Straight Flush for Richey

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Michael Thompson limped in from under the gun and action folded around to Brett Richey in the small blind, who completed. Jon Turner checked from the big blind and the three saw a flop of {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}. All three players checked, bringing the {9-Spades} turn.

Richey bet out and Turner folded. Thompson made the call and the river came {j-Spades}. Richey bet out again and Thompson thought for a while before folding, showing {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{x-}{x-} for a set of nines.

"Straight flush," remarked Richey, showing {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{x-}{x-} for a backdoored straight flush and raked in the pot that he took down on the river.

Meanwhile, the aforementioned mass of chips that is Jon Turner's stack has seemingly multiplied as he has likely eclipsed the 200,000 mark.

Gerhart Stays Alive

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Kevin Gerhart {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} / {x-}
Shaun Deeb {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}
Daniel Ratigan {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} (folded on fifth)

Ratigan bet on fourth street and was called by both opponents. On fifth street Deeb led out with a bet, Ratigan folded and Gerhart made the call after thinking for a while. Gerhart was all in by sixth street and ended up with the winning hand to scoop the whole pot when he showed {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts} which Deeb could not beat and kept Gerhart's tournament alive.

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Gerard Rechnitzer raised from under the gun and received a call from Mark Graffius who defended his big blind. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Graffius check-called Rechnitzer's continuation-bet. The turn was {5-Spades} and Graffius again check-called a bet from Rechnitzer. The river was a blank and Graffius check-folded to a final barrel from Rechnitzer, showing him his cards briefly before tossing them to the muck.

With the two seated next to one another, Rechnitzer showed Graffius his cards. A player on the other side of the table asked what he showed and Rechnitzer obliged, sending his cards face up towards the inquiring player as they landed on the table, {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{x-} for trip sevens as the dealer scooped them up to begin the next hand.

Dzmitry Urbanovich
Dzmitry Urbanovich

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Action folded to Bradley Helm on the cutoff who raised. Dzmitry Urbanovich was on the button and three-bet. The players in the blinds folded and Helm called.

Both players proceeded to check to a river on a runout of {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, where Helm checked once more. Urbanovich put in a bet and it went uncontested as Helm tossed his cards in the dealer's direction and Urbanovich took down the pot, bringing his stack ever closer to the 200,000-mark.
