Arieh Makes Eight-Perfect

Level 19 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Josh Arieh raised in the cutoff and Dario Sammartino called in the big blind.

Sammartino took three, Arieh pitched two and Sammartino called a bet from Arieh.

Sammartino improved to a one-card draw while Arieh still needed two. Sammartino led out and Arieh called.

Sammartino stood pat and Arieh patted as well. Sammartino bet, Arieh raised and Sammartino thought for a moment before tossing in calling chips.

"Eight-five," Arieh quickly announced and he showed {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Sammartino mucked.

Yockey Wins Marathon Hand

Level 19 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Dario Sammartino raised to 100,000 from the small blind, and Bryce Yockey three-bet to 325,000 in the big blind. Sammartino called.

Sammartino checked the {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop, and Yockey bet 225,000. Sammartino called.

Both players checked the {5-Diamonds} turn, and Sammartino checked the {10-Spades} river. Yockey bet 790,000, and Sammartino went into the tank.

For six minutes, neither player talked, simply shuffling chips quietly, while Sammartino studied the board and his chips. Five minutes into the break, Yockey called for a clock. Sammartino let the thirty-second clock tick all the way to zero, killing his hand, and Yockey took down the final hand before break.

Vitch Doubles Through Oppenheim With Quads

Level 20 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante
Chris Vitch
Chris Vitch

No-Limit Hold'em

David Oppenheim raised to 75,000 from under the gun, then called a three-bet shove for 285,000 from Chris Vitch in the big blind.

Chris Vitch: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
David Oppenheim: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Vitch pulled ahead on the {4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, and left Oppenheim drawing dead after the {q-Hearts} fell on the turn. Vitch improved even further to quads on the {q-Clubs} river.

"Overkill!" Yockey told Vitch, who responded with, "That's a waste of a river."
