Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Razz

Phil Ivey was the bring in and John Esposito completed a seven. Dan Cates called with a jack and Ivey defended. Esposito bet on fourth street and both players called. On fifth street, Esposito continued. Cates folded and Ivey called all in for his last 65,000

John Esposito: {4-}{3-} / {7-}{2-}{4-}
Dan Cates: {x-}{x-} / {j-}{6-}{6-} - folded on fifth street

After fifth street, Ivey found himself with a king-eight to Esposito's pair of fours. The dealer then dealt sixth street face up and the river face down.

Phil Ivey: {5-}{a-} / {k-}{8-}{6-}{5-} / {x-}
John Esposito: {4-}{3-} / {7-}{2-}{4-}{2-} / {x-}

After pairing a five, Ivey still found himself with ahead with a king-eight while Esposito had made two pair.

Esposito turned over {k-} on his final card to improve to a king-seven. Ivey then turned over his final card, {a-} to pair his ace and finish the hand with his king-eight, the second best hand as he was eliminated from the tournament.

With seven players remaining, the field is taking a short break to move to the unofficial final table. Seating assignments and chip counts will be provided shortly.
