Schropfer Takes From Drinan Twice

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

With a board that read {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} Thomas Schropfer led out with a bet of 150,000. Connor Drinan raised to 450,000 which Schropfer called after a few moments of thought. The river was the {4-Clubs}, Schropfer checked and Drinan checked behind.

Schropfer flipped over {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for the straight. Drinan re-checked his cards and mucked in disgust.

A few hands later. The board read {4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Drinan made a river bet of 120,000 which Schropfer called after a few moments. Drinan said "Your hand" and mucked his cards. Schropfer went to pull in the pot without showing his cards, a brief discussion ensued about whether Schropfer had to show a winning hand or not to take down the pot because Drinan mucked. Schropfer flashed the {k-Spades} and the floor ruled that he did not have to do so in order to take the pot.
