Scott Bohlman Bubbles Event #62: $10,000 Razz Championship

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

Scott Seiver: {x-}{x-} / {6-}{10-} fold
David Bach: {a-}{3-} / {5-}{6-}{7-}{q-} / {x-}
Scott Bohlman: {7-}{5-} / {2-}{3-}{4-}{10-} / {x-}

On fourth street, Scott Bohlman checked to David Bach, who bet and forced a fold from Scott Seiver. Bohlman called with 44,000 behind and Bach glanced at his stack when fifth was dealt. Bohlman checked, Bach bet and Bohlman raised before they got it in.

Bohlman turned over a made seventy-five while Bach had a live seventy-six. Nothing changed on sixth, but Bach spiked a {2-} on seventh to leave Bohlman on the ropes. He squeezed his final card, and mucked it like a flying saucer high in the air, as the {q-Hearts} landed gracefully on the floor next to the table.

Bohlman immediately apologized for it, while Cary Katz said "you have the right to be upset."

This has burst the money bubble and all remaining players have locked up at least $14,872 for their efforts.

Daniel Negreanu: {x-}{x-} / {k-}{5-}{6-}{j-} / {x-}
Scott Seiver: {x-}{x-} / {8-}{4-}{q-}{6-} / {x-}

Scott Seiver bet fourth and Daniel Negreanu called, then Seiver checked and called a bet by Negreanu on fifth. Seiver bet sixth to pick up a call and another bet by Seiver on seventh triggered some table chat by Negreanu.

"Fifty-fifty," Negreanu said.

"To What? To raise me?" Seiver inquired.

"To win," Negreanu added while he squeezed his cards.

"The wrong fifty," Negreanu concluded and folded, mentioning in table chat he was drawing to a six.

"Very Annoying Sixth Street" for Chen

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Andrey Zhigalov: {x-}{x-} / {5-}{4-}{2-}{2-} / {x-}
Marco Johnson: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{8-}{q-}{k-} / {x-}

Andrey Zhigalov and Marco Johnson checked fifth and Zhigalov paired his deuce on sixth, Johnson bet and received a call. No betting took place after seventh and Johson tabled {10-}{6-}{2-} for a ten-eight to win the pot.

Dan Zack: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{a-}{8-}{2-} / {x-}
James Chen: {x-}{x-} / {6-}{a-}{8-}{j-} / {x-}

James Chen bet fourth and Dan Zack called, and the same action repeated on fifth. They checked down sixth and Zack bet seventh to pick up a call from Chen, tabling the {7-}{5-}{4-} for a seventy-five as the winning hand.

"Very annoying sixth street," Chen said in table chat.

Most of the hands on the money bubble ended with completions or on fourth street, while only a few included betting action on several streets.

Johnson Makes a Wheel Against Anderson

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Calvin Anderson scooped a pot without showdown on the sixth street against Andrey Zhigalov before he would eventually lose a sizable pot to Marco Johnson.

Marco Johnson: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{5-}{9-}{a-} / {x-}
Calvin Anderson: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{3-}{9-}{q-} / {x-}

Both started the hand with an ace-five and an ace-try respectively while picking up a nine each on fifth. Anderson bet sixth when Johnson paired his ace and the call followed. Anderson then bet seventh and Johnson raised, which Anderson reluctantly called.

Johnson tabled {4-}{3-}{2-} for a wheel and scooped the pot.

Alexander Busts Kelsall; Bubble Time

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Andrew Kelsall
Andrew Kelsall

Andrew Kelsall: {8-}{5-} / {a-}{4-}{k-}{6-} / {x-}
George Alexander: {8-}{3-} / {6-}{a-}{q-}{7-} / {x-}

Andrew Kelsall ended up all in on fifth and was ahead with an eighty-five, but George Alexander picked up some outs with a seven to improve to an eighty-seven. Alexander indeed peeled the {2-} as the final card to make a seventy-six, and Kelsall could all but say "this is so sick." He slowly checked his final card, exposed the {j-} and hit the rail in 20th place.

This brings the field down to the last 19 and the money bubble has been reached. For each hand, two minutes will be deducted from the clock until the money bubble has burst,
