Howeth Takes From Yogo

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Shane Howeth raised from early position and saw Iori Yogo defend his big blind.

The flop fell {7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, and Yogo saw his bet called by Howeth before the {7-Clubs} hit the turn.

Yogo bet again, but this time Howeth opted to raise, with Yogo called.

Both players checked to a showdown after the {10-Clubs} hit the river, and Howeth revealed {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Yogo double checked his holding, not once, but twice, before eventually conceding the pot to Howeth who moved up to 500,000.

Riess and Laak Fall to Guerfi

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Omaha Hi-Lo

[Removed:146] raised in the cutoff and Ryan Riess said, "Alright," moving in his 85,000. Guerfi agreed to put in the chips preflop and they turned their hole cards up.

Riess: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Spades}
Guerfi: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Guerfi flopped flush on {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the remaining runout {6-Spades} and {5-Clubs} didn't improve Riess' hand, leaving the whole pot with Guerfi.

Riess wished the table good luck before heading to the payout desk, finishing in 21st place.

Shortly afterwards, Guerfi scored another KO as he dispatched Phil Laak.

Leonard Scoops Carey

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Patrick Leonard raised in the cutoff, Christopher Carey called on the button and James Van Alstyne called from the big blind.

Leonard continued to bet on the {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop and both of his opponents called.

The {q-Clubs} turn saw Leonard fire a second barrel and only Carey called to continue to the river as Van Alstyne gave up.

The dealer flipped the {a-Hearts} and Leonard bet one more time. Carey called but Leonard had him beat on both ends as he showed {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a set and an eight-five low.

Guerfi Quartered by Donev

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

In a battle of blinds, [Removed:146] and Ivo Donev made it to the river of the {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} board and the action was closed with six bets lying in front of each of the players.

"Nut-nut," Donev announced, turning up the {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for sevens-full and a nut low.

Donev didn't have the nut high but Guerfi couldn't beat his boat with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and he ended up losing 90,000 as he only chopped the low half.
