Meltzer Makes It Look Easy

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

An early-position player raised it to 4,000 and got one caller. Jordan Meltzer, next to act, moved all in, and when action folded to the small-blind player he moved all in for less. The original raiser tanked for a bit before folding, but the other player remaining in the hand called and was also all in.

Jordan Meltzer: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Small-Blind Player: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
All-in Player: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

The flop of {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} hit all three players, but Meltzer smashed it the hardest, hitting middle set versus the bottom set and top pair of his two opponents. The {8-Diamonds} turn and {k-Clubs} rivered secured the double-knockout for Meltzer in only his second hand at the table.

Oloughlin 3-Bets

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player raised it to 3,500 from early position and was called by the button-player. With action on Jason Oloughlin in the small blind, he decided that 9,000 was the price to pay, which was too rich for his two opponents and they mucked their hands.

The Check-Shove From Liu Gets Through

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Action folded around to Jeremy Liu in the cutoff and he raised it to 3,500. The player on the button then made it 10,500 to go, and with action back on Liu he made the call.

Liu checked the {5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop, and then check-called the 7,000 continuation bet from his opponent. After Liu checked again on the {2-Hearts} turn, his opponent slid out a healthy bet of 18,500. Liu responded with a check-raise all in and his opponent folded.

Haarstad Doubles Through and Then Chops With Chan

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The following action took place in back-to-back hands.

In the first hand Thomas Haarstad raised it to 2,800 from the button after preflop action was folded to him. After the small-blind player folded, Andy Chan moved all in and Haarstad called all in for his tournament life.

Thomas Haarstad: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Andy Chan: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Haarstad never had a sweat as the board ran out {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, which gave him the full house and double-up.

In the very next hand action again folded around to Haarstad, who once again raised it up and once again Chan moved all in. Haarstad made the call.

Andy Chan: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}
Thomas Haarstad: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, which resulted in a chopped pot.

Sewell Gets Flushed by Agata

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action picked up on the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop in a headsup pot.

Charles Sewell shoved his last remaining chips into the middle and was called by Yoshiya Agata.

Charles Sewell: {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Yoshiya Agata: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Sewell saw that while he was drawing dead to the flush, he could hit one of the three remaining eights in the deck to have a chance to survive. He did just that on the {8-Hearts} turn, but unfortunately for him it was followed by the {6-Diamonds} on the river and he was sent to the rail.

Cerveny Coolers and Then Chops With Queens

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The following action took place in back-to-back hands.

Action was picked up on the flop on a board reading {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades} in a three-way pot. Ladislav Cerveny, first to act, checked and the player in the next seat over bet out 7,000, which was called by the third player in the hand. With action back on Cerveny, he check-raised to 22,000, which was met with an all-in from the next player and a fold from the third player in the hand. Cerveny made the call and was at-risk for his tournament life.

Ladislav Cerveny: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Ladislav was on the right side of a cooler and needed his hand to hold, which it did on the {j-Clubs} turn and {8-Diamonds} river.

In the second hand Cerveny's opponent from the previous hand, now under-the-gun and short-stacked, moved all in, and when action folded around to Cerveny, he made the call from his big blind.

Ladislav Cerveny: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
All-in Player: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The all-in player tabled pocket queens in back-to-back hands, which was good enough for a chop on the {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades} runout.
