Lee To Six Figures

Level 5 : 300/500, 0 ante

Brad Lee opened the action with a raise to 1,200 from the cutoff. Chris Vitch was on the button and called, as did both players in the blinds. The flop came {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and the players in the blinds checked to Lee, who made a continuation bet of 2,500. Vitch and the small blind folded and the big blind called, taking action heads up to a turn of {5-Spades}.

The big blind checked and Lee fired again for 6,000, prompting an immediate fold from his opponent.

On the next hand, Allen Kessler limped from under the gun. John Monnette limped behind him from middle position and Lee raised to 2,500. Kessler called and Monnette folded. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Kessler check-folded to a continuation-bet of 2,000 from Lee.

Kessler Wins Despite Worst Possible River

Level 5 : 300/500, 0 ante

Action folded to Chris Vitch in the hijack who raised to 1,800. Allen Kessler was in the big blind and asked for confirmation of the bet size before tossing in chips to defend. The flop came {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} and both players checked. Kessler bet the pot, 3,900 on the {j-Clubs} turn. Vitch called.

Both players checked the {2-Hearts} river.

"Absolute worst possible river card," griped Kessler as he turned over {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. He then tabled {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} to complete his hand, showing queens up with a missed nut-low draw.

"I'm sorry about your river, Allen," Vitch said calmly as he tossed his cards to the muck.

Damjan Radanov
Damjan Radanov

A player raised from under the gun to 1,200 and Damjan Radanov three-bet from the hijack to 4,000. Action folded back to the original raiser, who called.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades} and both players checked. Radanov's opponent bet 2,000 on the {j-Hearts} turn and he asked to make sure of the amount before making the call.

The river came {9-Diamonds} and Radanov's opponent bet 3,000. He raised the pot to 21,800 and his opponent thought for some time before calling.

Radanov tabled {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades}, showing Broadway and taking the pot down with the nuts.

Marsters Wins on River

Level 5 : 300/500, 0 ante

On a board reading {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} with the blinds in the middle and 5,500 in front of both players, Tim Marsters had bet 11,000 from the cutoff. Action was back on his opponent in the hijack and after thinking for some time, tapped the table a couple times before tossing his hand the dealer's way as the pot was sent to Marsters.

Hoang Finds Double

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante
Kate Hoang
Kate Hoang

Kate Hoang had the winning hand of {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} still tabled on a board of {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} as the dealer counted her stack of 55,100 for her opponent to match. With the double, she now finds herself with over six figures and is a name to watch out for as the tournament progresses.

Hoang has made numerous WSOP Omaha Hi-Lo final tables throughout her career, including second-place finishes in last year's $1,500 Limit O8 event for $148,150 as well as the 2016 $3,000 PLO8 event for $182,282. She also made the final table in this very event last year, taking 8th place for $44,738.
