Originally from Columbus, Ohio but now residing in South Florida, Joey Couden is a professional poker player with more than $2.4 million in lifetime earnings (as of Summer 2022) dating back to 2008 according to The Hendon Mob. That includes a career-best score of $251,523 for finishing fourth in the 2018 World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.
At the 2018 World Series of Poker (WOSP), Couden became a gold bracelet winner after he defeated French poker legend Bruno Fitoussi in heads-up play in Event #53: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, good for a $244,370 payday.
In 2014, Couden overcame a 7:1 chip deficit to win the Hollywood Poker Open (HPO) $1,800 Main Event for $60,827, and a year later he won the 2015 Florida State Poker Championship at Pompano Beach for $154,762,
