Day 2 of Event #69: $1,000 Mini Main Event Kicks off at Midday

The inaugural Mini Main Event took place yesterday and drew a huge 5,521-strong field. Of those, it was Lula Taylor who starts ahead of the pack with 2,695,000 chips in play. She will face stiff competition from some big names in poker and one player to keep a close eye on is Norson Saho, who already has a proven track record in large fields at this series, finishing in 6th place in The Colossus just a few days ago.

The two-day event will conclude today, with 546 hopefuls playing down to a winner. The new champion will take home $628,654 in prize money, the title and a coveted bracelet as well as the all-important bragging rights.

All of this will take place in Pavillion White and Black and levels will remain at 30-minutes each. There will be a break after every four levels, lasting 15 minutes each, except for a 60-minute dinner break that is scheduled to take place after the 12th level of play, at around 6:30 p.m.

PokerNews will be on hand to keep you update with all the news and excitement as it happens from the moment cards are in the air, until the new champion has been decided.
