Robinson, holding {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, had hit a pair of queens and was facing {9-Spades}{3-Spades} in Obst's hand. The rest of the board fell a {a-Clubs} and a {k-Hearts} and Robinson doubled up.

The river completed the board with the {9-Hearts}, Paez bet and Song raised. This upset Paez so much he got up from his chair and mumbled away, not believing what Song was doing. After a while, Paez reluctantly flicked in the chips for the call. Song tabled {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the rivered straight. Paez showed {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

"Every time on the river!" Paez said while shaking his head and muttering some Spanish words and uttering more words to his rails.
