Dao Extends Chip Lead

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Tu Dao (in a previous event)
Tu Dao (in a previous event)

Tu Dao has been storming through the counts and has extended her chip lead by a huge margin. She just lost a pot at showdown versus Patrick Leonard on a {3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board losing 5,000 chips on the river to Leonard's two pair with {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. That pot has made little difference to the hefty stack Dao will come back to after the first break of the day though.

Triple Up for Ray

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Kyle Ray
Kyle Ray

Kyle Ray raised and it was three-bet by Stuart Rutter in the cutoff. Alex Torry called in the blinds and Ray pushed his last chips in the middle. Ray and Torry completed.

The flop fell {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Torry check-called a bet from Rutter. When the {3-Diamonds} came on the turn, Torry check-folded after a second bet from Rutter and the two remaining players tabled their cards.

Ray, with {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}, had hit a pair of fives on the flop while Rutter held {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Ray tripled up after the {q-Hearts} completed the board.

Albrecht Out

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Robert Albrecht is out of the running. Extremely short at the start of the hand, he opened to 5,000 and was three-bet by Oleg Chebotarev on the cutoff. Joshua Griffith called the 9,000 bet in the big blind and Albrecht put the last of his chips in.

The flop landed {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and it checked to Chebotarev who made a continuation bet, which Griffith folded. The two remaining players were heads up all-in and turned their cards over.

Oleg Chebotarev: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Robert Albrecht: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Though the preflop favorite, Albrecht had been outflopped by Chebotarev and the {j-Clubs} turn and {8-Diamonds} river didn't help him.

The river was the {3-Clubs} and Eveslage revealed {k-Hearts}{10-Spades} after they both checked to win the pot with two pair.

Suchanek Barrels into Johns

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

The {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop was out and Ian Johns checked to Jan Suchanek who made it 3,000 to play. He called and the dealer placed a {j-Hearts} on the turn. Suchanek barreled 6,000 and Johns check-called again.

There was a {6-Diamonds} on the river and after checking a third time, Johns faced another 6,000 bet. The play had been swift until this point but the third barrel gave Johns pause for thought and after 30 seconds of deliberation, he let it go.
