Riess Cracks Aces on the Bubble to Double

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Upeshka De Silva opened to 12,000 from under the gun and Bob Slezak three-bet to 30,000 from late position. Ryan Riess was on the button and four-bet to 160,000, leaving himself 3,000 behind. De Silva quickly folded, and Slezak tossed in a single chip to call, tabling {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Riess still had 3,000 behind so he held off from revealing his hand.

The dealer put out a flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Riess got his last 3,000 in chips all in. Slezak called, and the floor asked the dealer to hold off until the remaining tables completed their action. Eventually, Riess tabled his {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for top set, and the turn and river ran out {7-Clubs} and {4-Spades} to send Riess the double.

Hand-for-hand play is still in progress, taking off two minutes per hand off the clock.
