It's the largest buy-in event of the summer and for mainly that reason alone, Event #83: $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller has attracted the who's who of poker. After the opening day wrapped up, there were a total of 93 entries and familiar faces in the poker world littered the leaderboard.

Topping them all after the first 12 levels was Brandon Adams who bagged up a whopping 2,950,000 chips, nearly five times his starting stack. Adams has had a successful summer already by claiming his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet and reaching the final table in the $50,000 High Roller. Some other big names among the leaders include Byron Kaverman (2,655,000), Mikita Badziakouski (2,105,000), Ali Imsirovic (2,060,000), and Bryn Kenney (2,035,000).

There will be 50 players returning to their seats for Day 2 along with any others that wish to join the field. The late registration period will remain open until the cards get back in the air and everyone is permitted one re-entry if they haven't already done so. In this fast-paced tournament with 40-minute blind levels and constant action at each and every table, there is a chance for anyone to quickly run up a stack.

The action will get underway at 1 p.m. local time with the blinds resuming on level 13 at 10,000/25,000 with a 25,000 big blind ante. There will be a 15-minute break after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break after the ninth level. The schedule indicates that the field will be shrunk to the final six today, but that will be decided based on the pace of play. The prizepool and official numbers will be posted shortly after the cards get in the air.
