Boivin Scores Huge Pot with a Set of Aces

Level 16 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened to 110,000 in early position and Thomas Boivin stuck in a three-bet to 300,000 from the cutoff. Bryn Kenney slid out a four-bet to 635,000 from the small blind which got Negreanu to fold. Boivin just called and the two players saw a flop of {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Both players checked and the {8-Spades} landed on the turn. Kenney led out for 345,000 this time and Boivin called to see the {j-Clubs} on the river. Kenney checked this time and Boivin reached back for a bet of 1,255,000, leaving just 5,000 behind.

Kenney used up two of his time extension before making the call. Boivin tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for a set of aces and Kenney released his cards.
