Batavia Busts Goff

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Manoj Batavia is sitting on a very healthy stack almost four times that of starting stack. The lastest chips came via Dustin Goff in a hand recently. Batavia had the best of it when the chips went in the middle and Goff had to hit the rail. With unlimited re-entries it may not be the last we've seen of him though.

Radzivonau Lets it Go

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Kiryl Radzivonau
Kiryl Radzivonau

Kiryl Radzivonau opened to 1,800 on the cutoff and Farzad Tafti defended in the big blind. On a {10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Farzad check-raised all in for 17,700 over Radzivonau's 2,000 continuation bet and after taking some moments to consider it, he decided it was best to let it go.

Konnikova Has a Stack

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Maria Konnikova (from a previous event)
Maria Konnikova (from a previous event)

Maria Konnikova opened the action and was called behind by two players before James Romero squeezed. The player on his left moved all in and when the action came back to Konnikova, she moved all in over the top. Everyone else passed and they turned their cards on their backs.

Maria Konnikova: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Both players hit on the {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Spades} flop, but Konnikova was the huge favorite with a set of tens. The {8-Clubs} turn brought a gutshot for a chop but instead the {9-Diamonds} paired on the river, giving Konnikova a full house and one of the top chip stacks in the room.

Romero had folded {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, which was the correct fold but would have hit quads. He will have to console himself with the fact that he still has a decent stack, even though it could have been so much more.

Gavin Busts

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Ten minutes ago, Lexy Gavin had won a pot after raising under the gun and getting three callers, from the button and the small and big blinds. She continued on a {q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Spades} board and took it down, all the while enjoying a massage.

Five minutes later and she was spotted outside the Miranda room, continuing her massage, though it is unclear how she busted the tournament. With 11 cashes to her name in this year's series alone, Gavin will have to re-enter if she is to make it 12 results at the 50th annual WSOP.
