Kaneoya Triples

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Renato Kaneoya
Renato Kaneoya

All the chips went in preflop and Renato Kaneoya was in excellent shape to triple versus two opponents. He had pocket-kings against ace-king and ace-jack and with no ace or combo hand on the board, he eliminates one and doubles through the other.

Negreanu Folds Broadway

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Daniel Negreanu (in a previous event)
Daniel Negreanu (in a previous event)

Daniel Negreanu and Robert Lipkin were in a big pot on the river, with {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Hearts} on show. Speaking to his vlog cam afterwards, Negreanu ran through the action that had lead up to that point. He had opened with {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and was three-bet by Lipkin who had position on him.

On the flop, he check-called a continuation bet. The turn he check-called again and after he checked a third time on the river, Lipkin tank-jammed. Daniel began to narrate his thoughts at this point, asking himself "How can I fold?...but I can't beat a full house". Ultimately he could find a fold and that is what he did. Lipkin gave nothing away, choosing to send his cards into the muck.
