Nezhoda Eliminates a Player

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

According to Rene Nezhoda and those seated at his table, Nezhoda was sitting in late position and smooth called with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. The flop came {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and it was checked around.

The turn was the {a-Hearts} and the big blind bet 30,000. Nezhoda made the call.

The river came the {4-Clubs} and the big blind moved all in. Nezhoda snap-called. The big blind showed {k-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Nezhoda showed him the bad news with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

Play Still Paused; Most Dealers Standing

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Organising fields of this size at the multi-bustout stage of the tournaments can sometimes involve logistical hiccups. Dealers in the Amazon Orange area are standing up, awaiting instructions to continue Level 1. The clock is paused.

Play Resumes After a Brief Break

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Play resumes (but may be paused again this level) as the tournament staff sort out the payouts which are still coming in very fast - every 30 seconds or so another shout of "Payout! Table xyz!" rings out and it's better to be safe that all players have been paid in the correct order.

Hung Doubles, Many Bust

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Double through for Chen-Yu Hung just now, courtesy of Megan Moore. Moore (sb) and Hung (bb) called a button raise to see a flop of {5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Moore checked, Hung moved all in for 109,000 and the button folded. Moore made the call, tabling {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush draw, but Hung's was bigger - the {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. In the end it was the king-high alone that won the pot for Hung.

Bunkley Captures the Moment

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Antuan Bunkley wasted no time this afternoon in filming his right hand side neighbour Daniel Negreanu, and seems to be enjoying the banter on their table as Level one progresses in episodes, rather than a straight 40-minute chunk.

Negreanu Busts

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Today has not gone Daniel Negreanu's way. From 601,000 to bust in level 1, he told his phone on a selfie stick the story of his demise: "Now I'm the guy talking about his exit...he (pointing at his eliminator) had aces, I raised with jacks. Aces are better than jacks. Going to jump into the $5k now. Could have happened an hour ago..."
