"sws79" Doubles Into the Lead

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Huge double for sws79
Huge double for sws79

Paul Teoh raised to 75,000 from under the gun and was called by "karilleMeni" on the button. "sws79" three-bet to 330,000 and Teoh was the only caller.

On the {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop, "sws79" bet-called all-in for fewer than 765,000.

"sws79": {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Paul Teoh: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Teoh missed out on the full house as the {4-Diamonds} turn and the {5-Spades} river instead improved "sws79" further to the nutflush.

Teoh In the Lead; Ribeiro Busts and Vieira Doubles

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Tomas Ribeiro eliminated by sws79
Tomas Ribeiro eliminated by sws79

"Mangudai" of Austria became the next player to fork over his chips to Paul Teoh when they held the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Teoh flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

"Mangudai" hit a teasing flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} but the {2-Spades} turn and {3-Hearts} river were not what they were looking for.

Tomas Ribeiro then clashed with "sws79" and was at risk preflop for fewer than 20 blinds.

Tomas Ribeiro: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
"sws79": {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}

As the board came {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, Ribeiro was drawing dead on the turn.

"sws79" held onto the chips for just a brief moment before forfeiting a portion to Joao Vieira. It went in after the {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop was dealt with Vieira at risk holding the {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} for a pair and a straight draw. "sws79" tabled {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the overpair but the {10-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river kept Vieira in the game.

Sammartino From Hero To Zero

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Dario Sammartino eliminated by Craig Timmis
Dario Sammartino eliminated by Craig Timmis

Dario Sammartino three-bet jammed his short stack into the raise of "Lampard10" who quickly called.

Dario Sammartino: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
"Lampard10": {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The board came {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Sammartino doubled with the nutflush.

However, right after Sammartino three-bet the pot to 78,000 out of the big blind and initial raiser Craig Timmis called.

Sammartino ripped it in for 124,976 with the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} when the flop fell {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Timmis called with {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a gutshot. While the {6-Diamonds} turn bricked, the {9-Clubs} river did not as Sammartino bowed out.

Ami Barer fell short right after and he was followed by "Minthon" and Maksim "IReadB00ks" Pisarenko, among others.

Mike McDonald

Samuel "vivaegipto" Bernabeu was all-in preflop in the last hand before the break and picked up calls from Mike McDonald and Simon Lofberg. McDonald ended up calling all-in on the {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Samuel "vivaegipto" Bernabeu: {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Mike McDonald: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Simon Lofberg: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The {j-Spades} turn kept McDonald in the lead as he improved to a straight but Lofberg nailed the {6-Diamonds} river.

Bubble Madness Ensues

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Adam Owen was at risk preflop for 321,524 with the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs} and "Lampard10" from the UK tabled the {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

As the board came {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Owen became the 73rd place finisher.

The next hand was dealt and several players were all-in. "ruminramen" had the fewest chips and busted while "BlueMoon", Jeff Kirsch and "kakamakadu" hit the rail for a min-cash.

"BlueMoon" pushed with the {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} into the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} of Mike McDonald who held up on a board of {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}.

"kakamakadu" got it in good with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} against Mike Leah with the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} but the {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} board favoured Leah.

However, the most remarkable hand played out in a three-way all-in featuring Philip "Respect!" Long, Kirsch and Leon Tsoukernik.

Jeff Kirsch: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Leon Tsoukernik: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}
Philip "Respect!" Long: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The board came {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} to improve Tsoukernik to quads and drag in a massive pot.

Mellanen Doubles; "bapu" Bounces Out

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Kasper Mellanen doubles
Kasper Mellanen doubles

Kasper "GangstaPoker" Mellanen three-bet the pot to 35,000 and was called by "ginyo" as they then got it in after the {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop on which Mellane check-shovd for 131,995 when facing a bet of 75,000.

Kasper "GangstaPoker" Mellanen: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
"ginyo": {q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

The {7-Hearts} turn and the {k-Clubs} river kept Mellanen in contention as he made a flush.

"bapu" was not as fortunate. They got it in preflop with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} from the button as "SkullIsland" quickly called with {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} in the cutoff, holding the slightly superior stack.

The board came {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and that spelled the end for "bapu" a few spots away from the money.

Carter Swidler: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Luke "lb6121" Schwartz: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Lautaro "Gueca" Guerra: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
