Owen Runs into Big Slick

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 250 ante

After a raise and a three-bet, Adam Owen shoved for about 40K in the small blind. The opener isolated him and revealed {a-}{k-}, dominating Owen's {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. The {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Spades} meant all but the end for Owen and the {9-Diamonds} confirmed he'd need another shell to do anything in this tournament.

Totally Spent

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 250 ante

These players used all three allotted shells and won't be winning Event #80.

Panka Picks Off Clacher

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Dominik Panka opened for 3,679 and got one call before Michael "YesPlease" Clacher shoved for 35K on the button. Panka called, the third player folded and a good situation was in place for Panka as he had {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} against [a5s].

A board of {4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} had Panka sweating a bit but the river was the {a-Diamonds}.

Boivin's Fortunes Turn

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 180 ante

Thomas Boivin dropped a huge pot where he defended big blind and flopped two pair with {a-}{8-} only to be coolered by {a-}{9-} on the {a-}{9-}{8-} two-tone flop.

Left with about 22K, he shoved in the small blind when Daniel Negreanu opened on the button. Big blind Bryan Paris, back in the same seat, woke up with a call holding {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and was leading Boivin's {k-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Boivin paired up on the {8-Hearts} river but that same card completed a winning flush for Paris.

Boivin Busts Paris

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 180 ante

Action folded to Thomas "MickeyM" Boivin and he shoved for about 10K effective in the small blind. Bryan Paris called off with {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} but was slightly behind the {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} of Boivin. Boivin flopped a queen to take a huge lead. He had some sweat when Paris turned a ten, but the river didn't save Paris.

Val Fleet With the Click Back

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 180 ante

Jon Van Fleet raised to 2,400 first to act and "onomatopia" made it 7,320 in the cutoff. Van Fleet peeled and {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs} flopped. Van Fleet checked and onomatopia bet 6,360. Van Fleet put in a raise of barely over the min, 13,320. His opponent called but folded to a shove of 31K on the {7-Hearts}.
