Al "BigAl16" Riccobono On the Up and Up

Level 25 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Al Riccobono
Al Riccobono

We missed the hand play out, but learned after the fact that Al "BigAl16" Riccobono, who is playing from New Jersey, managed to triple holding {q-}{q-} against two players who each held {a-}{k-}. The ladies held and just like that Riccobono is flirting with a top-ten stack.

Riccoboni a longtime grinder with results dating back to 2006. His biggest score of $45,422 came back in 2007 when he finished 267th in the WSOP Main Event.

He's still looking for a big breakout win, and right now just 61 players stand between him and a gold bracelet. No matter where he finishes, he's guaranteed at least $939.60 in prize money.

Epstein Done Dirty on the River

Level 29 : 10,000/20,000, 2,500 ante
Scott Epstein
Scott Epstein

Action folded around to Scott "intheblack14" Epstein in the small blind and he moved all in for 287,228, which Allen "Nucman" Pock called from the big.

Allen "Nucman" Pock: {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop gave Epstein the lead and the {10-Hearts} turn meant all he needed to do to double was dodge an ace on the river. Unfortunately for him, that proved easier said than done as the {a-Spades} spiked on the river to send Epstein out in 24th place for $1,814.40.
