Deeb Elimiated by Aces

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 2,400 ante
Freddy Deeb
Freddy Deeb

After previously surviving on the river vs Shawn "shades927" Stroke a few hands prior, Freddy "nevera" Deeb was not so fortunate a few moments later as he met his demise at the hands of the same opponent.

Deeb's elimination was captured seconds before the table closed and details of the hand were lost but it was apparent that his ace-king could not overcome the pocket rockets of Stroke.

2013 WSOP Main Event Champ Eliminated

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 2,400 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

2013 WSOP Main Event champ Ryan "BiTC0iN" Riess had dwindled to an extreme short stack when he found himself in the big blind for more than half his remaining chips.

Jason "haderade" Somerville min-raised to 48,000 under the gun and action folded to Riess, who called off the 22,748 he had behind.

Ryan "BiTC0iN" Riess: {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Jason "haderade" Somerville: {j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop gave Somerville a hammerlock on the hand with a pair of jacks, and he locked it up on the {a-Diamonds} turn. Riess was drawing dead and took his leave from the tournament in 47th place after the meaningless {7-Hearts} was run out on the river.

Deeb Rides Roller Coaster to a Double Up

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 2,400 ante

Shawn "shades927" Stroke raised to 60,000 from middle position. Freddy "nevera" Deeb went all in for his remaining 158,984 out of the big blind which Stroke called.

Deeb was at risk but ahead holding the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} against the {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} of Stroke. The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} but the turn sent Deeb close to the rail as the {j-Spades} came off to put him one card away from elimination.

But Deeb's time had not come yet as the {a-Clubs} binked off to keep him alive with a double up.

Zobian Flushed By Graner

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Aram Zobian
Aram Zobian

Aram "X69Podheiser" Zobian raised to 40,000 from the lojack and Stephen "tonystarsgfk" Graner defended his big blind to see a {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} flop.

Both players checked, the {3-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, and Graner bet 38,700. Zobian called and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Graner downsized with a bet of 26,000 and then snap-called when Zobian jammed for 143,086.

Zobian held the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} for top two pair but it was no good as Graner had the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nuts. Zobian was ousted in 52nd place for $22,334.

Lazrus Hits the Rail in 54th Place

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Daniel Lazrus
Daniel Lazrus

Daniel "RiverRats" Lazrus raised to 90,055 under the gun and left himself just 3,824 behind. Action folded around to Michael "geNet1x_" Cannon and he moved all in from the small blind. After the big blind folded, Lazrus called off and the hands were turned up.

Daniel "RiverRats" Lazrus: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Michael "geNet1x_" Cannon: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Lazrus has a kicker problem and it didn't get resolved as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Lazrus was eliminated in 54th place for $22,334.
